In Costa Rica the rainy season is also called the green season since this is the time when everything turns green in the dry areas. Generally in the Guanacaste region rainy season begins in May and peaks in October. It was very late arriving this year. But, when the rains do arrive there are still lots of opportunities for photos - even in the rain.
