You do not have to stay at a resort to have a wedding in Costa Rica. Staying in and having your wedding in a beach town will allow you and your guests much more flexibility and options for activities. The whole town on Tamarindo is situated on the beach and you can walk everywhere. Guests can stay at a hotel if that is their preference, stay at a B&B, a hostel for those on a tight budget or even rent their own condo.
